Officially, there are 22 days left of winter. However, like a houseguest who overstays his visit, it is looking as if Old Man Winter has no designs on leaving Michigan anytime soon. (Like, dude, why are you leaving your snow all over the place?!?) Sunday's storm with high winds and blizzard conditions was a doozy. There is potentially more of that on the way. After a statewide snow system hits Wednesday, we could be in line for another blustery blast this weekend. On top of that, MLive chief meteorologist Mark Torregrossa says we should expect colder than normal temperatures through the first half of March. Cox served the 19th District in the legislature (2015-18), where she chaired the powerful House Appropriations Committee.
