Mosque bombing suspect well known to neighbor, law enforcement in small Illinois town

One of three men charged in the Bloomington, Minn. mosque bombing last year held a gun to his neighbor's (pictured above) head and later planted explosives in the same neighbor's shed, according to charges filed in Illinois.

Deal paves way for $10M to fix MNLARS licensing system

Minnesota lawmakers reached a compromise Thursday on an emergency funding measure to help fix the state’s troubled vehicle licensing and registration system.
The Senate passed the bill on a 47 to 17 vote. The House is expected to do the same later in the day Thursday.

Minneapolis students heading to Washington, D.C. March for Our Lives

North Minneapolis students are joining young people from across the country at a march against gun violence in Washington, D.C., Saturday. The national student-led demonstration comes just over a month after a shooter killed 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida. Marchers plan to gather on Pennsylvania Avenue starting at 12 p.m. ET.

Lead lawyer on Trump's team handling special counsel Russia probe resigns

John Dowd, the veteran attorney leading President Trump's outside legal team, has tendered his resignation. He declined to explain why he was leaving the team that is helping the president deal with Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation. "I love the president and wish him well," Dowd said when reached on his cellphone by NPR.
