A $13 million federal grant will help a MOVEBR project make improvements on a 2.1-mile stretch of Thomas Road near BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo, including wider shoulders and a mixed-use path for pedestrians and bicyclists. East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome says the stretch of road is a key artery for travelers in the area.
