Mother's day on the prom

It's Mother's Day next Sunday 10th and an opportunity to treat your Mum, so how about taking her out for a stroll along Brighton Seafront?

Make your mark

With the days growing brighter, we are looking forward to the return of Katie Sollohub's immersive classes to our beach-side classroom.

Katie looks at the world intensely, noticing everything, making connections, and finding narratives. Join her for a day of creative enquiry that spills out of the studio and onto the shore.

There are several chances this year. First up, Large Scale Gestural Drawing in April, Movement Marks and Meditation in May, and, later, in the summer, Katie will hold her Sketchbooks by the Sea.

Let it grow

We are enjoying seeing bursts of blossom and tentative blooms, and sprucing up the greenhouse for summer harvests to come.

Whether you're sewing your tomato seeds, or marking the pages in this year's Open Gardens brochure, you're not the only one taking inspiration from the great outdoors. So many of our artists do too.

We've got a surprising number of prints, cards and books for the green at heart and hand. Come and browse our print racks and fill your (welly) boots.

We've just had a drop of cards from Canns Down Press, re-filling the racks with images from dozens of artists and for every occasion.

Come and restock your supply.

Our winter opening hours continue until Easter. Visit us Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 11am - 5pm.
