The business of the House was resuming a day after a rifle-wielding attacker opened fire on Republican lawmakers practicing for a charity baseball game, critically wounding House Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana.

Judge: Redo part of analysis for Dakota Access pipeline

A federal judge has handed a lifeline to efforts to block the Dakota Access pipeline, ruling Wednesday that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers didn't adequately consider the possible impacts of an oil spill where the pipeline passes under the Missouri River.

Report: Trump under investigation for possible obstruction of justice

As part of the DOJ Russia investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller's team is looking into whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.
