Gonorrhea, syphilis, drug-related infections jumped last year in Minn.

Minnesota's health commissioner called the rise in sexually transmitted diseases "alarming" and warned of a trend in STD cases among drug users, particularly those using heroin, prescription opiates and methamphetamine.

Minnesota jobless rate dips to 3.8 percent in March; 5,300 jobs added

The state's unemployment rate remained significantly below the national jobless rate. And for the first time in more than two years, its 1-year job growth rate also outpaced the nation.
