'Find every color': Minnesota woodcut artist Charles Beck dies at 94

Beck was well known for his landscape prints, inspired by the hills and farmland around his hometown, Fergus Falls. Local farmers liked his prints. City-dwelling art connoisseurs did, too.

Hennepin Tech mistakenly sends 'active shooter' alert

A message sent Thursday morning about an "active shooter" on the school's Brooklyn Park campus was a false alarm. Police, though, have called in a bomb squad to probe a suspicious package and have closed the campus.

Minnesota jobless rate up a tick in August; 6,600 jobs cut
