View email online | | | | | Nov 24, 2020 | | | | | | Good afternoon, Sometimes bad things happen to good people and reporter Matt Calderbank has spoken to Leanne Gabbott, who along with son Charlie, was rescued from their home in Leyland by two neighbours. Leanne is a nurse at the Covid ward at the Royal Preston Hospital and has been working hard to help battle the pandemic at the sharp end. She has been astonished by the lovely community response to her predicament following the fire. It makes you proud to be a Lancastrian. Meanwhile, today we are all trying to work out what the end of lockdown and a move back in Tiers means for us. But we will have to wait until Thursday to find out where we are placed -aan agonising wait for businesses as we head toward the critical Christmas commerce period. It's clear not all parts of Lancashire will be happy to put in the same bracket. Lancaster, in particular, is fighting to go in a lower tier as its Covid case load is lower. It's a case of watch this space right now. But whatever happens, I can assure you we at the Lancashire Post will do all we can to support local business through our #supportlocalcampoign and of course keep you informed of any developments in a timely way. Just keep an eye on lep.co.uk and don't forget we have a special coronavirus section. I hope you all have a decent Tuesday - don't forget to get in touch if you have any stories you would like us to cover.
