Greetings and Happy New Year Record setting season Your help has given us an opportunity to do much for the homeless this season. With just over 40 days in, we have already served 181 different guests. That number includes: 129 men and 52 women. These numbers combined make up a record setting total of 1759 individual nightly stays. To put this in perspective, we typically see and average of 800 for the entire season. Over fourteen hundred dollars has been spent on laundry as of today. There’s still 60 more days left in this season. I cannot begin to tell you what a huge part you have had in this ministry and we still need your help. By designating gifts to help meet the immediate needs of the homeless, we can continue to offer lifesaving services.
Making progress I also want to give my deepest thanks for your gifts toward the purchase of property. Last year’s goal was to purchase 2 acres of property by the end of the year. While we did not raise all the money we needed, we did make significant progress and have spoken to the seller and put down some earnest money to solidify our intent to buy. He has graciously extended our agreement and allowed us to continue raising funds in 2021. Our goal is to close on the property before the end of this year. While last year was unpredictable, please know that we have no intent on giving up. We can do this, but not without God. Using this text as both inspiration and guide, it is not time to back up, slack up or crack up. is time to pull out all the stops and get this done for the glory of God. The Lord has spoken to my heart through
Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
2021 commitment to God Last year, you joined the Board of Directors and I in giving generously. We are preparing to do the same again this year. Please join us in prayer and allow God to speak to your heart regarding what you should do this year to help us finish strong.
Thank you Last year I missed the opportunity to send out Christmas cards and some long overdue thanks as well. Please accept this as my personal thanks and please know that I do not take you for granted. |
