It is my hope and prayer that you have done well through this past winter storm. What a surprise to all of us. Many are asking about our homeless friends and if they have been okay through all of this. I am glad to say that we were able to keep Coldest Nights shelter doors open around the clock to keep our friends from freezing. We were already engaged 7 days a week, and now 24 hours a day during the freezing temperatures. Your gifts have kept us going and allow us to move forward toward the purchase of property. Thank you so very much from all of us.
Next Step regarding property This is the year we wish to complete our property purchase. We need all hands on deck. If you are interested in helping MRM take the next step in purchasing property, we have plenty opportunities in which you can get involved. We would be interested in talking with you. Please text of call Ed at (615) 605-1705.
Fundraiser Rescheduled Our Parade of Partners fundraiser featuring Christian comedian Peppi Garrett has been rescheduled for Thursday September 16. We regret having to reschedule this event but circumstances due to Covid-19 restrictions were beyond our control. With public confidence growing and more community events beginning to open, we believe September will be the right time. Please put this event on your calendar. More information will be given as we near this date.
Feature Volunteer Our feature volunteer is Tom Capps. Tom volunteers weekly at the shelters helping with laundry. He does a fantastic job and is a difference-maker in helping take care of our men and women. Over 280 bags of laundry covering a 12-week period and still going.
