As a public health precaution due to COVID-19, Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery will close temporarily to the public beginning Monday, November 23. Due to rising regional and national cases related to COVID-19, the Smithsonian is once again closing its doors temporarily. We are not announcing a reopening date at this time due to the changing conditions, but Smithsonian leadership is closely monitoring the situation to ensure that the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff remains a top priority. Please consult our website for the latest updates. If you have a timed-entry pass to visit the museum after November 22, you will receive a separate notice from Etix. We look forward to seeing you when we are able to reopen. While our physical doors will be temporarily closed, we are continuing to create engaging digital content to help bring American art to you at home. |
