CAMIER SCORES OTHER 5 POINTS IN RACE 2 AT CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT |
Leon Camier got the 11th place in Race 2 at the Chang International Circuit, after a race made even more difficult by the intense heat of the Thai sky. Thanks to the great Camier’s comeback, MV Agusta Reparto Corse gain other 5 points in WorldSBK overall standing.
Despite his grid position, the British rider rode a race constantly on the edge in order to keep a very fast pace with his MV Agusta F4 RC and try to catch the top 10 of the race.
After having back that feeling with the bike that allowed him to be the fastest in FP1 on Friday, Camier started his comeback up to the score point zone, avoiding take dangerous risks. The result is a 11th finishing position placing Camier and MV Agusta Reparto Corse in the Top 10 of the WorldSBK overall standing.
MV Agusta Reparto Corse and Leon Camier will be back on track on April 1-3 for the very first european WorldSBK Round, in Aragon (Spain).
Leon Camier #2 – I am really happy with the bike, I think chassis was working really good and my riding was really good as well. Unfortunately we suffered some little problems during the qualifying and my position on grid wasn’t the best. Anyway, we did a great job here in Thailand and I am really happy because I feel like we are going in the right direction. Next race in Aragon will be the chance to improve our score |

CAMIER SI AGGIUDICA ALTRI 5 PUNTI IN GARA 2 SUL CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT |
Leon Camier si piazza in 11° posizione dopo una gara resa ancor più dura dal caldo soffocante del cielo tailandese. Grazie alla bella rimonta di Camier, il Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse guadagna altri 5 punti in classifica generale del WorldSBK.
Il rider britannico, sebbene sia partito dalla 14° posizione in griglia, ha giocato una gara costantemente al limite, per tenere alto il passo di gara della MV Agusta F4 RC del Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse e lanciarsi all’assalto della top 10 di gara.
Ritrovato in parte quel feeling con la moto che gli aveva permesso di essere il più veloce nelle FP1 del Venerdì, Camier ha cercato il giusto compromesso tra recuperare quanto possibile, risalire la zona punti ed evitare al contempo inutili rischi. Il risultato è un 11° piazzamento finale che fa il paio con la Gara 1 del sabato e che vale a Camier altri 5 importanti punti classifica, portandolo nella Top 10 della classifica generale del Mondiale WorldSBK.
Il Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse e Leon Camier saranno nuovamente in pista il weekend 1-3 Aprile per la prima trasferta europea del Campionato, che si terrà sul circuito Motorland di Aragon, in Spagna.
Leon Camier #2 – Sono molto soddisfatto della mia moto, il telaio ha lavorato nel modo giusto e anch’io sono riuscito a guidare molto bene. Sfortunatamente abbiamo sofferto alcuni piccoli problemi durante le fasi di qualifica e, di conseguenza, la mia posizione in griglia ne ha molto risentito. Ad ogni modo, abbiamo fatto un gran lavoro con la squadra qui in Tailandia e sono soddisfatto perché sento che stiamo andando nella giusta direzione. La prossima gara ad Aragon ci offrirà la possibilità di incrementare ulteriormente il nostro potenziale. |
