Read Erin’s touching story.... No images? Click here Dear friend, Some of the most effective heroes for life are people who simply stepped up to meet a need and minister to those around them. Erin is an excellent example of this. A friend sent us her story, and I’m thankful to share it with you today: My friend never wanted to be a champion for life. Several years ago, she walked alongside someone very close to her who chose abortion after genetic testing revealed an abnormality. A doctor advised them that a late-term abortion was the only solution to the potential difficulties the child and parents might have faced. She fought alone for the baby's life and spoke the truth in love, amongst strong opposition and difficult emotions. Despite the parents choosing abortion, Erin celebrates his birthday every year with the hope that she will meet him one day in heaven. She now partners in ministry with mothers that are tempted to make the same decision when faced with fear and uncertainty. She cares for all children as if they are hers. She doesn't have a family of her own, but she is an integral part of many families, shining the light and joy of Christ wherever she goes. Her cause is not her own, but God gave her an opportunity to make it her own, for the sake of one child. We all want a story with a happy ending, but this one ends with the promise that hope is not in vain. The Lord sees those who fight for the little ones who have no voice. I’m thankful for people like Erin who are standing up for the vulnerable and fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. With your help, the ERLC is able to highlight these champions for life around the country and equip others just like them with the resources and training they need to make a difference. While we have seen many pro-life wins in the past year, we know that new challenges to the sanctity of life will emerge in the year ahead. Will you stand for life with us by giving a tax-deductible donation of $20, $50, or $100? Your generous gift will help us advocate for more pro-life laws, train more champions for life, and place more lifesaving ultrasound machines in 2020. Thank you for coming alongside us in this important work. Sincerely, Daniel Darling of the Southern Baptist Convention 901 Commerce Street, Suite 550 Nashville, Tennessee 37203 Like Tweet Forward Unsubscribe |
