| Hi John The Festival of Marketing returns in real life at The QEII Centre, London and online this 23-25 March with Transform – an event that will demonstrate the value of what marketing can offer, as well as equipping you with the insight, inspiration and tools to realise your brand’s and your own potential. With a limited number of hybrid and virtual passes left, I’m delighted to offer you an exclusive £50 discount. Just use promo code FOM50RP when booking your pass to benefit from the saving. There will be so much though-provoking content to enjoy and learn from, but here is my pick of the subjects and sessions to look out for. Marketing’s potential explored: Two of marketing’s most passionate advocates and commentators, Helen Edwards and Cheryl Calverley, will kick off Day 3 with a session spelling out the ways marketing can make a difference to business, culture and society. In an unabashed celebration of what’s possible, it will leave everyone prouder and more confident about what they do. Elsewhere, the problems and potential in B2B will be discussed, debated and determined in a session featuring LinkedIn’s Mimi Turner and former Hiscox CMO Annabel Venner. In what will be an honest and frank assessment, we hope to point the way forward for B2B marketing. Unlocking the customer experience opportunity: Customer experience (CX) is a topic more pertinent to more marketers than ever, its importance in acquiring and retaining customers more important than ever. In a session bringing together members of Marketing Week and Zone’s CX50 list of top CX professionals we will look at how CX is evolving and what it means for your brand. Meanwhile, best practice in managing, interpreting and utilising data to deliver better experience and business outcomes will be discussed in a session featuring Aston Martin’s head of brand strategy, Kate Dalton and Paul Latham, head of audience development. Determine the right measure of success: Transformation can only be achieved once the right success measures have been established. Offering insight into how to meet this important challenge, Frog’s Sophie Bull and Bhavesh Unadkat will highlight the KPIs that matter. How to innovate: Boasting some of the biggest and oldest brands in their categories isn’t enough for Diageo. The drinks maker is keen to keep evolving to meet ambitious growth targets. In a fireside chat, CMO Cristina Diezhandino will explain how it is bolstering its ecommerce capability, brand experience and measurement capability. The innovation needed to lead transformation is also needed at a process level. Vodafone‘s marketing technology lead on digital marketing capabilities, Jobin Joy will explain how the mobile provider used technology to make better use of its data. Inspiring success stories: Working on the premise you can learn as much from past successes as present, we will tell the inside story of one of the iconic campaigns of last ten years – Channel 4’s “Super Humans”. Dan Brooke, the broadcaster’s CMO when the campaign launched in 2012, and current marketing director Amber Kirby will explore the campaign’s origins, legacy and future. Rated top for customer service and in a sector not known for it, Starling Bank’s success is notable. We will bring two of the key architects behind its success together, CEO and founder Anne Boden and brand director Rachel Kerrone to discuss its approach to innovation, experience and brand. Meeting the challenges of the future: Ensuring your team has the right skills to achieve success is a necessity but not straightforward. UKTV’s top marketer Simon Michaelides will explain how the broadcaster audited its marketing team’s skills and put in place development plans that led to its most successful year. Meanwhile, Chris Rodi from Mars Petcare will talk honestly about its success, and leanings from doing what many marketers are doing – selling direct to consumer. A visit to Festival will provide the knowledge you need to create actionable change and to tackle the biggest issues you’re facing. View the full agenda, then discover the ticket options here and make sure you use code FOM50RP to save £50 on your Festival Pass. If you have any questions, please get in touch and a member of the team will help out. I hope to see you at Festival later this month! Best wishes, Russell Parsons, Editor-in-Chief Marketing Week and Festival of Marketing |
