Tomorrow will be a bit warmer, but still colder than average: There’ll be a lot of highs in the 30s on Friday, with some lower 40s in southwestern Minnesota -- still lower than the Twin Cities' average highs this time of year, 46 degrees. Saturday will be the warmest of this weekend, with many areas topping out in the 40s.

In this latest Climate Curious feature, we answer a question from an audience member about the Line 3 project and its potential impact on the Earth's temperature. Quick answer: The total emissions estimates fall within a range, but the societal costs of climate change that might result from Line 3 could reach $287 billion over the next 30 years, according to the project’s environmental impact statement.
