CS Energy and the Queensland state government were responsible for the explosion which crippled the Callide C power station in 2021, the federal court has heard, with an independent expert report sheeting home the cause of the explosion to government ordered cost-cutting at the state-owned company.

Department chain Myer has tapped the Apparel Brands business of Solomon Lew's Premier Investments as a merger candidate, in a bid to potentially supercharge the Myer One loyalty scheme.

Cettire shares plummeted 49 per cent in Monday trading after revealing the fashion retail business will barely make a profit in June, wiping $115m off entrepreneur Dean Mintz's personal wealth.
