Amazon boosts holiday hiring goal by 20%

Amazon will add 120,000 seasonal staffers at its US fulfillment centers this year, up 20% from the 2015 holiday season. About 14,000 of last year's crop were hired full time and the retailer expects to add more full-time employees this year.

Hershey has issued its support for the Equal Pay Pledge, the First Job Compact and the Fair Chance Pledge. The Equal Pay Pledge is intended to address the gender wage gap, while the First Job Compact and the Fair Chance Pledge aim to help young Americans find their first job and eliminate barriers to employment for those with criminal records, respectively.

Wal-Mart raises manager pay in advance of new OT rules
Wal-Mart has increased annual salaries for entry-level managers from $45,000 to $48,500 ahead of new federal rules set to take effect Dec. 1, a spokesman said Tuesday. The rule change will double the salary limit for overtime eligibility to just under $47,500.
