Situational Analysis | April 15, 2024

It's Monday and World Art Day (and something about taxes......🤔)

Happy birthday yesterday to Rep. Anthony Loubet and today to Rep. Scott Chew! 🎈🎂 🎉

What you need to know

  • Natalie Cline was eliminated from her State School Board re-election bid after Salt Lake County GOP delegates voted for Dr. Amanda Bollinger, giving Bollinger 63% of the vote and making her the nominee. Cline did not gather signatures and would have needed 40% of the delegate vote to go to a primary.

Rapid relevance

  • GOPers in Weber, Davis counties call on Utah to stop using ERIC system to maintain voter lists; NHL Arizona Coyotes players told of move to Utah, report says; Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles toward Israel on Saturday. Nearly all of them were shot down by a multi-country response.
