NBA sabbatical program aims to boost retention
More than 100 employees have taken advantage of the NBA's sabbatical program, which launched in 2015. The program, designed to increase engagement and retention, lets individuals who have spent 10 years with the league take four paid weeks off -- those with 20 years get eight weeks -- in addition to their annual paid vacation.

Employers to give raises, add full-timers
A CareerBuilder report says 58% of employers plan to provide raises for employees this year, with 24% of companies planning raises of at least 5%. More employers -- 63%, compared with 60% a year ago -- say they expect to hire full-time workers in the second half of 2018.
