In mylast blog post, I talked about the benefits of serving as a peer reviewer of grant applications for the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). Today, Id like to explain what serving on an NCCIH review panel is like.

  • Addressing the Impact of Structural Racism and Discrimination on Minority Health and Health Disparities (R01 - Clinical Trial Optional)
    This initiative will support intervention research to address the impact of structural racism and discrimination (SRD) on minority health and health disparities. Research projects may focus on health promotion, prevention services, and/or treatment of chronic condition. Studies may include an examination of the impact of SRD on access to, implementation, adherence, dissemination, and adoption of evidence-based complementary and integrative health approaches for prevention and treatment of mental health, emotional well-being or pain among health disparity populations.
