✈️ Which Airline Passenger Behaviors Are Most Unacceptable?

TSA screened 2.95 million airline passengers on the Friday leading into Memorial Day weekend, breaking the all-time single-day record.

It’s one data point among many that suggests airline travel is vibrant and busy.

Maybe you’re like Clark, who enjoys flying seemingly as much as his vacation destinations themselves. More likely, there are things that people do to get on your nerves. It can be annoying to be stuck with the wrong sort of people in tight quarters for hours.

YouGov.com conducted a survey on the behaviors that fellow passengers find least acceptable. Of the 30 behaviors surveyed, at least 65% of airline passengers said these nine behaviors are not at all OK:

Let your child play in the aisle: 86%
Leave your seat during turbulence: 82%
Get drunk: 82%
Watch a movie without headphones: 81%
Leave trash in the seatback pocket: 79%
Use both armrests when someone is next to you: 74%
Eat strong-smelling food: 68%
Not pay attention to the safety demo: 66%
Exit the plane before the row in front of you: 65%
