CPT Operative Report Master Class
gives coders who already understand the fundamentals of CPT coding an opportunity to practice their skills. This intermediate-level course begins with a review of challenging topics not addressed in other coding courses solely focused on preparing for certification exams, including:

Medicare Resource Based Relative Value System
CMS 1500 claim form
National Correct Coding Initiative
The mechanics of global surgery today as well as potential future changes

Then coders get the chance to run their skills through the rigors of coding real operative notes. Case studies include a variety of surgical procedures, providing coders ample practice coding minor and significant procedures routinely encountered by physician practices. All operative reports are reviewed and discussed during class. This immediate feedback prepares coders to accurately code in the future.
