Nephron opens pharmacy for employees and families

Nephron employees and their families who participate in the company’s health plan are eligible to use the pharmacy at Nephron’s manufacturing facility in West Columbia. The pharmacy was a shared vision of Bill Kennedy, Nephron’s Chief Business Development Officer, and Nephron CEO Lou Kennedy.

S.C. unemployment drops to record 2.4% in November

The statewide unemployment rate continued its historic drop, falling from 2.6% in October. An estimated 2,324,510 people are working in South Carolina, an increase of 5,604 from October and 69,390 from November 2018.

Brewery 85 testing biodegradable six-pack rings

A Greenville brewery is testing six-pack rings made from plant-based, biodegradable fibers. Brewery 85 is testing the packing in the Upstate, according to a news release. The rings are made from by-product waste and compostable material from the brewing process.
