Net Zero Fund is Open for Applications Now! Business Gateway Fife is administering the fund which is a non-repayable grant of up to £3,000 to help businesses make progress towards net zero carbon emissions.
Eligible businesses include SMEs based in Fife. Businesses whose main base is outside Fife can use the grant to improve the premises they have in Fife or create green jobs in Fife. All projects must be completed by 31st March 2023. |

The SMART: SCOTLAND grant is one of Scottish Enterprise's research and development (R&D) grants that aim to support high-risk, highly ambitious projects.

Love Restored Reimagining Its Future Business When Kirkcaldy partners, Lorraine Gardiner and Nadia Moreland were renovating an old dining table, they didn’t think the project would become the catalyst for creating Love Restored, an independent homeware and interiors shop.
The pair have plans to secure a more established trading pattern in Falkland and to grow their range of gifting so that people from all areas can take something nice home with them regardless the price point.

16,000 workplace opportunities secured through Young Person's Guarantee More than 16,000 young people across Scotland have been offered workplace opportunities through the Young Person’s Guarantee.
Over 600 employers have signed up to the initiative which aims to connect 16-24-year-olds with an apprenticeship, work experience, volunteering, internships, enterprise opportunities and mentoring.

New Seasonal Food Store Launches At Bowhouse Bothy Kitchen, a new finish-at-home meal producer, has launched at rural food and drink collective, Bowhouse.
This brand-new business was founded by Fiona Fraser, who has developed a range of handmade finish-at-home meals using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. After moving to Fife during the pandemic, Fiona has described Bothy Kitchen as the fulfilment of a dream she has held since attending catering college.

Scotland at Hannover Messe Expo Scotland’s renewable energy and hydrogen sectors are to be showcased at a major international trade fair.
Scottish Development International has confirmed it will lead Scotland’s presence at the five-day Hannover Messe Integrated Energy Expo in April 2023 following the UK Government’s decision not to participate. Screen Scotland - Production Growth Fund Screen Scotland's Production Growth Fund provides funding for live-action and animated features and live-action and animated high-end television drama series, that create employment and career development opportunities for crews in Scotland and delivers a direct and significant economic benefit to the screen production sector.
The fund has an annual budget of £2 million. Applicants can apply for funding of between £200,000 and £500,000 towards production costs of a project that will be shot and/or post-produced wholly or partially in Scotland. Click here to find out more |
