One of Formula 1’s biggest wins under owner Liberty Media has been the success of the Netflix Drive To Survive series.

I have to admit, I turned my nose up at the idea initially – even the title sounded awfully corny – but what it has done brilliantly is present F1 in a totally different way for casual viewers to enjoy. It undoubtedly spawned a new generation of fans whose interest to learn more was sparked by its storylines. And we welcome them with open arms!

The fact we’ll get another season in 2022 is one to keenly anticipate – especially as the tension between title rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, and the Valtteri Bottas/George Russell subplot over Mercedes’ second seat, needs no real dramatizing right now!
