| When coding for neurological conditions, coding professionals must code to the highest level of specificity, take note of Excludes1 and Excludes2 information, and understand reporting guidelines for pain and muscle paralysis. They must also familiarize themselves with CPT® codes for electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potential testing, and other procedures used to evaluate and diagnose neurological problems.
During this 90-minute webinar, Lori-Lynne A. Webb, CPC, CCS-P, CCP, CHDA, CDIP, COBGC, will review ICD-10-CM coding for commonly reported chronic and acute neurological conditions. She will also review coding for concomitant psychiatric disorders such as stress, depression, and anxiety. In the second half of the presentation, Webb will discuss CPT coding for auditory and vestibular response and EEG testing, and review modifiers reported with these services.
