Never heard of ghost kitchens? Boosted by pandemic, Lafayette's virtual restaurant scene expanding

You've probably heard the term "ghost kitchen" tossed around. In Lafayette, Shawn Broaddus launched his ghost kitchen, Burger Corner, that's available for pickup or delivery through DoorDash. The virtual concept is housed at his restaurant, Broaddus Burger.

Then there is Kat Daddy Wings, launched in 2020 at La Pizzeria. Ghost kitchens allow restaurateurs to reach new customers and capitalize on otherwise slow times at their brick-and-mortar restaurants.
