| Hi John, Australia has launched a new payments platform which will be used by about 60 financial institutions, credit unions and building societies to effect financial transactions across the country.
The Commonwealth Bank is the first to begin offering the New Payments Platform, of which customers can register a PayID through the bank's app and avoid having to provide their BSB and account number to transfer funds from participating financial institutions.
