Some of the biggest news this week came in the form of sponsored pro signings. Full Tile made another big splash by inking both Tom Dwan and Viktor Blum. Not to be left out, PokerStars signed Isaac Haxton to its roster of online grinders. But not all the news this week from Full Tilt was celebrated as it was announced that its standard rakeback offering was being scrapped in favor of a new VIP rewards program and funds previously paid to affiliates via player accounts would not be honored. Viktor Blom, Tom Dwan Join Hansen on New Full Tilt Poker Pro Roster

Cash game stars join "The Professionals," Full Tilt Poker's new line-up of pros.

Full Tilt Poker announced this morning that two of the world’s most popular high stakes cash game pros, Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, have signed sponsorship deals with FTP and will be a part of the site as it returns to the market in November.

Dwan and Blom will join former FTP spokesman Gus Hansen as part of a new group called “The Professionals,” with potential clashes at nosebleed tables between Dwan and Blom part of the marketing allure promised by Full Tilt.

Full Tilt Replaces 27% Rakeback with Universal VIP System

27% rakeback paid through affiliates to be replaced with a rewards program available to all.

Pre-existing rakeback deals through affiliates will not continue under the relaunched Full Tilt, replaced instead with a VIP system that maxes out at 25% rakeback paid directly into player accounts.

The Iron Man promotion, that awarded players for playing every day, will also not return. The top-tier Black Card will not be available at launch, but will return at a later date.

Full Tilt Affiliate Payments Will Not be Honored, Players Will be Untracked

Wiping the slate clean: existing affiliate relationships will not be carried forward when Full Tilt comes back online in November.

Payments owed to Full Tilt Poker affiliates will not be paid, and player accounts will not tracked to old affiliates when the website comes back online next month, pokerfuse has learned.
