New book puts history of racial exclusion in Minnesota in 'plain view'

A spring storm is bringing some weather whiplash to the state this week. MPR News meteorologist Sven Sundgaard says the storm brings the chance of severe weather Tuesday, and colder temperatures later in the week.

"We are talking with the possibility of some strong to severe storms in southern Minnesota — slight risk of severe weather from the storm prediction center comes all the way up to the Twin Cities for late Tuesday," Sundgaard says. "We could see storms that get organized into supercells that can produce some high winds and large hail and an even greater threat to the south across Iowa and Missouri."
