The State Government announced the following changes to COVID restrictions from Saturday morning, April 23:
- Customers will no longer be required to show their vaccination status as a requirement for entry.
- Check-in will no longer be required at workplaces.
- Business operators will no longer be required to keep attendance records or maintain a check-in marshall.
- Hospitality, retail or event staff will no longer be required to wear face masks.
- Close contacts to confirmed COVID-19 cases will no longer be required to go into quarantine â provided they wear a mask indoors and avoid sensitive settings.
- Events of more than 30,000 people will no longer require State Government public health pre-approval.
- People who have had COVID-19 will be exempt from testing or quarantine requirements for 12 weeks afterwards.
- Workers with COVID-19 will be required to notify their workplace and social contacts.
- Workplaces will no longer be required to individually identify and notify each employee potentially exposed to COVID-19 at work.
