Good afternoon,

This is a coronavirus update from The Scotsman.

Scotland has recorded six coronavirus deaths and recorded more positive cases in the last 24 hours than ever before as the Delta variant spreads.

Are the vaccines working? Given the relatively low number of deaths and hospitalisations it looks like they are. So far, 3,816,251 Scots have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination and 2,722,725 have received their second dose.
