EBR schools eye sites near heart of St. George

Board seeks site for another school in SE Baton Rouge

The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board has its eye on land in the southeastern part of of the parish for a pair of new schools. It had already talked about a new high school, and now it says it can acquire land for an elementary school. Charles Lussier has where.


In Zachary, meanwhile ...

Zachary's schools are seeing growth, but it's a bit much. Terry Jones looks at the strain that new development is putting on the district in the northern part of the parish. 


Boot camp for teachers

A group of Livingston school teachers went to boot camp to learn about the military experience. The effort was aimed at letting them let their students know what the military might be like as a career option, or a post-school choice.
