CHAC artists are ushering in Spring with their creativity, culture and amazing art work. It is always uplifting and inspiring to see our artists bring our exhibits to life with their different styles!
As Spring is a time for making your spaces fresh and new, CHAC is busy renovating our space in the Santa Fe Arts District (completion date TBA). We are so excited to have our gallery updated to serve the needs of our community.

Please note that there will be an education meeting March 4th at 2pm for CHAC educators. Please check your e-mail for a reminder and location. ART IMAGE: The Reflections of Culture logo is a collaboration between artists Judy Miranda and Lyndy Bush. In Mesoamerican art, double-headed serpents represent the sun as it travels across the sky, and more generally transformation. This is a great representation of art. As artists, we take an idea and bring it to form, and it becomes a piece of the artist. The flowers represent beauty, endurance, and femininity. Together this logo embodies the growth women artists experience through their lives and how that is reflected in their art.

Damaris M. Santos
Damaris, who is a Colorado native with roots in Puerto Rico and Cuba, is a versatile professional artist driven by challenges and ambitious goals. With a passion for problem-solving, she crafts simple and effective solutions, enhancing her artwork with diverse skills in digital art, acrylics, oils, watercolors, graphite, chalk, paper clay sculpting, and crafting.
Her self-taught journey and pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts in Natural, Historical, and Social Analysis at MSU Denver in 2012 enriched her artistic education. Damaris seamlessly integrates her deep enthusiasm for sciences, research, and art/media into her work, offering a well-rounded perspective.
Approaching each project with unwavering dedication and a keen eye for aesthetics, Damaris consistently delivers exceptional results. Her commitment to continuous growth and exploration, coupled with a genuine passion for her craft, positions her as a visionary artist with boundless creativity. Whether working on commissioned pieces, collaborative projects, or scientific research through art, Damaris M. Santos remains an invaluable asset, leaving an indelible mark on those touched by her inspiring work.

The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts.
CHAC is an inclusive community of creatives that are dedicated to preserving, showcasing, educating and reflecting the essence of Chicano/a/x, Latino/a/x and other multicultural/multiracial communities.
