Editor's Notes

When did the pandemic get real for you?

For me, it was more of a build-up than a single moment. But I very vividly remember standing in a group on March 4 at NET/WORK 2020, Technical.ly's Baltimore job fair,  wondering if perhaps this was one of the last big gatherings we'd attend for a while. I mentioned it offhand, but the conversation veered toward some other topic, and I continued weaving through the crowd at the Assembly Room. Two days later, SXSW was canceled. Offices would close the following week.

A year later, it's March again (was it ever really not March?) and many are reflecting on the one-year anniversary of the pandemic. It also happens to be the return of NET/WORK, this time in a virtual, cross-city format on March 18.

Register for the job fair here. And, if you feel like it, reply to this email and tell me when the pandemic got real for you.
