Highest ever daily case count for Scotland

Scotland has broken the record for the highest number of daily coronavirus cases two days in a row. 

Thousands of new positive tests were recorded in the last 24 hours. 

The latest figures also tragically show a rise in deaths

 

Manchester travel ban row escalates as Nicola Sturgeon faces questions

Nicola Sturgeon has faced brutal questioning from all sides over the Scottish Govenrment's Covid restrictions. 

Anas Sawar called them 'rushed and ill thought through' at FMQs, and the First Minister's row with Andy Burnham has deepened over the Manchester travel ban. 

Ms Sturgeon had a 'confidential' meeting with the Manchester mayor, but reports suggest it didn't go down well.
