Celebrity brand deals lack credibility for 81% of consumers polled by Casino.org and 60.7% trust brands less when employing celebrity endorsements. The survey did find that fashion deals with celebrities yield the highest approval rating from consumers, followed by musicians and those in the beauty sector, such as Kendall Jenner.

There's a long way to go before persistent pressure can be relieved in the commercial real estate market, according to Wells Fargo CFO Michael Santomassimo. It's a "long movie" that is just "a little past the opening credits," Santomassimo says, noting the bank's greatest difficulty in the office sector even as multi-family and some other asset classes are doing well.

This Topanga, Calif., house has just hit the market for $2.5 million, and while it's a looker on more than an acre of land, a major draw is the separate professional studio with foley pit. The real-estate listing describes it as "a 480 square-foot Foley stage recording studio by noted engineer Charles Pell. The interior 'stage' is a 'room within a room' allowing for extensive wiring and exceptional soundproofing."

Two-thirds of Americans report that they are reducing their spending in response to the current economic environment, and 32% say they are tapping savings and investments to make ends meet, according to a Wells Fargo study. Forty percent of respondents indicate that their finances are in great or good shape, the study found.
