Hi John,
You may remember me reaching out about a week ago about the opportunity to sign up for a real-time online art or STEAM class that you can enjoy from the comfort of home.
We heard your schedule preferences, cost comfort level, how you want your children to explore new materials, develop creative confidence, have a love for art, gain the encouragement and interaction from an expert teacher, learn amongst other children, and have a dedicated space to explore process-based open ended art.
The best part was seeing how closely aligned your goals were with our own.
I want to thank everyone who filled out the survey! The classes will be for you so knowing what you're looking for has been a huge help.
So we took all your notes to the art table, made a big mess of post-its, hashed it all out over coffee, and came up with a beta (test) program of four open-ended and experimental live, online drawing classes that I think you'll love.
The first class is this weekend, enrollment is limited, and registration closes this Friday, November 19!

Sunday, December 12: Drawing Idea Generator. Improvisation and language development.
When are the classes?
Classes will be held live on four Sunday afternoons (1 pm and 3 pm PST) in November and December. 1 pm classes are for ages 4-6 and 3 pm classes are for ages 7-9.There's a time zone converter on the art class page to help you see if this will work with your schedule. Our hope is to offer more dates and times next year!
How much are the classes?
We're keeping the price down for the beta since we're just getting our feet wet. You can sign up for as low as $12/class. Next year the prices will likely be higher.
How big are the classes?
Enrollment is limited. We're capping the class size at 15 to keep the group small and allow for more teacher interaction and group discussion.
How long are the classes?
35 minutes.
What is the teaching philosophy?
We believe all children are creative, and will reach their highest potential when learning is rooted in joy, curiosity, and encouragement. We value process over product, iteration, experiments, and mistakes as ways to help children develop a flexible and nimble mindset that will serve them as future leaders, community members, and change makers. Our teaching approach is based in constructivism, founded by psychologist and education pioneer Jean Piaget, where teachers act as facilitators and children are active learners who construct their own knowledge through experience.
Have more questions? We have an FAQ section at the bottom of the class page!
