New Orleans homeowners will have an extra month to pay their property tax bills next year, though they may need the time to set aside a little more money. The Orleans Parish School Board, which collects more property taxes in the city than any other public agency, has delayed a key decision that could send those bills higher. Ben Myers has the story.

Nearly 1,000 suspected or confirmed victims of human trafficking received help in Louisiana last year, but state and local agencies have made just 75 trafficking arrests in the past three years combined.
