Big grant: The city of New Orleans is getting nearly $50 million in grant funding to expand or create programs aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The money will go toward things like protected bikeways, residential solar panel installations and more Blue Bikes. Mark Schleifstein has more on the city's plans for the money.
Bob Dean plea: Notorious nursing home owner Bob Dean pleaded no contest Monday to 15 criminal charges, including cruelty to the infirm, in connection with his decision to send hundreds of patients to an ill-equipped warehouse during Hurricane Ida. But Dean will not be required to serve time in prison. John Simerman and Andrea Gallo explain.
Teachers wanted: With just two weeks until students walk through the doors of New Orleans' first new traditional public school in two decades, the district is still scrambling to fill about a third of the staff positions at the new Leah Chase School. Marie Fazio has the story.
