[New post] A Prayer for Southwark

Lord God,
as we wake this Whit Sunday
to the news of another outrage,
we pray for the hurt and the distraught.
We commend into your loving mercy
those who have been killed
and those who grieve for them.
We pray that your Holy Spirit
will come again to empower us
to work together for your good future
for every tongue and nation
which was proclaimed at Pentecost,
in the name of Jesus Christ
your Son our Lord. Amen.
