I was confirming at All Saints, St Ives (Cambs) yesterday and after the service noticed one of the team moving around among the coffee crowd collecting donations on one of the new contactless gismos that are now available at modest cost. They have wi-fi (3G would work too) and the team member had an iPad that connected to that and the gismo. I tapped an icon on the iPad screen to choose my donation amount, held my phone near the gismo (I could have used a card), and *ping* the gift was made. I wanted a receipt so I gave my mobile number and *ping* a message arrived with a link to it a few seconds later. Job done. If you'd like to have the system at your church just contact Martin Kenward in our office and he'll be able to help. martin.kenward@elydiocese.org David Thomson | May 14, 2018 at 6:07 am | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: https://wp.me/poSLL-3zs |
