We hear a lot of talk about the “cliff-edge” of falling numbers of ministers as many reach retirement age – and that’s true. But on the other side of the coin, the 21st enquirer has just booked in for our “Party with a Purpose” about Licensed Lay Ministry, and yesterday’s post brought details of two excellent national enquirer events, one next February for 18-30s considering ordination (see http://www.stepforwardanglican.org.uk/), and one this December specifically for women exploring ordination (http://namedknowncalled.org.uk/). My own ordinand daughter helped set up the first of the “Named Known Called” conferences (they take place in Durham where she is studying) so they come with a personal recommendation!
