New project to collect S.C. COVID-19 information

The SC STRONG project will test 32,500 randomly selected state residents, who will also complete a confidential survey. The project will track infection and immunity rates as well as identify health inequities.

Report: S.C. nursing facilities face high COVID-19 fatalities

A report from AARP found that from Aug. 24 to Sept. 20, for every 100 residents in S.C. nursing homes, 1.2 died of COVID-19. That's the highest percentage in the country, which averaged a rate of 0.48 deaths for every 100 residents.
