Washington state's Covenant Homeownership Program offers no-interest loans of up to $150,000 to help prospective homebuyers from historically excluded communities cover down payments and closing costs. The program, which addresses the lingering effects of racist housing covenants, has received 34 applications, with six in the closing phase, aiming to make homeownership more accessible to those impacted by past discriminatory practices.
