New restaurant north of I-10 in Scott

The guy behind the El Paso Mexican Grill just keeps on moving. 

Now with four restaurants in the Lafayette area, Ruben Chavez and some investors have bought property in the business park just north of Interstate 10 in Scott. They will build a restaurant, he said, that will specialize in either Mexican food or seafood. 

Chavez is the guy who made an initial effort to move into the old Hooters space. But that property is now back on the market.
