Dear Edutopia community,

The new school year is in full swing, and with it comes the opportunity to connect with students—and peers. Today, we’re writing with an exciting update to make that just a little bit easier.

Some of you have spent decades in the classroom and will be sharing your knowledge with early-career educators and veterans alike. Some of you are just starting out (with whom we share one of our favorite quotes, from actor Helen Hayes: “The expert in anything was once a beginner”). Whether it’s your first or 30th year heading into the classroom, we don’t believe that your sharing of best practices and expertise—and the opportunity to learn from others—should end with your school or district. We want you to know that Edutopia is the place not only to get information and inspiration, but also to share your expertise and ideas with others. We’ve added the ability to comment on some of our favorite articles and videos, meaning that you can share your insight with, and get support from, fellow educators. We wish you the best this fall and thank you for continuing to explore, reflect, learn, grow—and now connect with others—at Edutopia. We’re here for you so that you can be there for each other and continue carrying on the most important job in the world: supporting students to grow and thrive.

Sincerely,

Samer Rabadi
