| | | Edition 11 | 2021 | | Dear John Do, | | Emissions in transport continue to rise despite a drop in other sectors. Around three quarters of freight transport in Germany is done by lorry and the figures are rising, according to Statista. Alternative drives such as hydrogen could reduce CO2. Clean Logistics, a startup in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, is converting heavy diesel lorries to emission-free drives with hydrogen fuel cell propulsion. Dirk Graszt, CEO of Clean Logistics, explains the procedure and how the hydrogen city of Hamburg benefits from the innovation - and vice versa - in the first part of our video series "Future Hamburg Talk meets ..." focusing on hydrogen. Click on our Hamburg News site to read more daily economic reports from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in both German and English. We value your opinion and look forward to your feedback. Sincerely, Hamburg News Editors
