Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme for COVID Absences 

If you are a small or medium-sized business, you may be entitled to reclaim the costs of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) for sickness absence due to COVID-19.

The repayment will cover up to two weeks SSP starting from the first qualifying day of sickness if an employee is unable to work.

International Travel Restrictions Lifted and Simplified

The international travel traffic light system of restrictions put in place to protect public health is to be substantially revised to make it simpler for travellers.

Green and amber classifications will merge, but the red list will be retained for those countries deemed to have high COVID19 case rates or variants of concern.

Collaborative projects for COP26, the Wellbeing Economy and the key strategic and trade importance of the Nordic and Baltic nations are to be at the centre of increased Scottish Government international engagement.

Fife Tech Consultancy, Cooper Software, Sees Revenues Rise

Dalgety-Bay-based technology consultancy, Cooper Software, has reported a 27 per cent increase in revenue for the current year end.

Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, the increase has been driven by a series of key business wins, which has seen the company undertake large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation projects for clients including Gordon & MacPhail, Scot JCB, Harland & Wolff and Intelligent Energy.
