| The United Kingdom moves the UKCA implementation deadline to January 1, 2023 |
| | Beginning of 2020, the UK authority “Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy” announced the UKCA marking will become the new UK product marking that will be used for certain goods being placed on the UK market. The UKCA marking will in this case replace the CE marking. The original plan was to allow a grace period for the transition from the CE marking to the UKCA certification until January 1, 2022. However, this period now has been moved by the UK authority to January 1, 2023 while this provides manufacturers more time to prepare for the switch from CE to UKCA marking. |
